I was born in Erlangen in 1973 and grew up in Bubenreuth. In 1992 I began my apprenticeship to become a professional violin maker at Karl H\u00f6fner’s workshop in Bubenreuth under supervision of Alfred Zecho, a master violin maker. I broadened my skills in the state school for violin making in Mittenwald and in other workshops, in which I also built historical wind instruments and different historical stringed instruments.<\/p>\n
In 1995 I succesfully completed my apprenticeship and since then I have worked at Karl H\u00f6fner’s and Roderich Paesold’s workshop.<\/p>\n
In 2004 I succesfully completed the final exame to become a German master luthier. In March 2008 I attended a course for varnishing and visual appearance from Francois Perignon at the swiss violin making school in Brienz.<\/p>\n
Since February 2009 I have been working in my own atelier in Kleinsendelbach near Nuremberg\/ Germany. There I can follow my passion to copy ancient italian masterpieces.<\/p>\n
I also succesfully took part in several violin making competitions.<\/p>\n
2010 and 2013 I won the third price at \u201eConcorso Internazionale di Liuteria ANLAI\u201c in Pisogne\/Italy for violin.<\/p>\n
2014 I won the first and the second prize (gold and silver) at the same competition with a violoncello and a viola.<\/p>\n
2015 I managed to win the \u201eDeutscher Musikinstrumentenpreis\u201c, which is a price given from the German government, for the best 4\/4 violin<\/p>\n
2017 I at won two first prizes (two times gold) for my violin and my violoncello at \u201eConcorso internazionale di Liuteria Sesto Fiorentino\u201c\/ Italy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
